Product Overview +

Digital-to-Analog Broadcast Audio Conversion

The FOR-A USF-204ADAC is a modular audio conversion card designed for installation in FOR-A USF series universal system frames. Engineered for high-fidelity audio signal conversion, the module accepts a 2-channel AES/EBU digital audio input stream and converts it into 4 channels of analog audio, enabling seamless integration between digital broadcast equipment and analog monitoring infrastructure.

Flexible Level Matching & Silence Detection

To accommodate varying international broadcast alignment standards, the USF-204ADAC provides selectable digital input headroom settings at -20 dBFS or -18 dBFS. Output audio levels can be tuned across -10 dBu, 0 dBu, +4 dBu, and +8 dBu modes to match downstream line-level equipment. The card also incorporates an automated silence detection circuit that triggers alarms when audio levels drop below defined thresholds for a configurable period between 1 and 10 seconds.

USF Frame Integration & Remote Health Monitoring

Built for modular broadcast environments, the card operates within 1RU (USF-105AS) or 2RU (USF-212BS) frames, drawing power from the host chassis. Operational status, audio presence, and parameter adjustments are managed remotely through SNMP v2c network protocols or via the USF frame's graphical management interface.
