The FOR-A USF-402AADC is a high-precision 4-channel analog-to-digital audio converter card engineered for installation in FOR-A USF series universal system mainframes. Designed for master control rooms, recording suites, and live broadcast facilities bridging legacy analog gear with digital audio infrastructures, the card digitizes 4 channels of analog line-level audio into 2 robust AES/EBU digital audio streams.
Versatile Gain & Level Management
Engineered to handle varied audio equipment standards, the USF-402AADC offers extensive level matching controls. Operators can set base analog input sensitivity to -10, 0, +4, or +8 dBu and adjust input impedance between 600Ω and high impedance (High-Z). Input gain can be trimmed locally using front-panel dials (±6 dB) or remotely via a browser interface across a wide ±20 dB range, while digital reference headroom can be toggled between -18 dBFS and -20 dBFS.
Clock Synchronization & Remote Monitoring
To ensure glitch-free digital audio routing, the USF-402AADC locks its output sample clock directly to the master reference genlock signal distributed across the USF frame backplane. Combined with customizable audio silence detection settings and full SNMP management support, the module delivers reliable, continuous audio conversion across mission-critical broadcast networks.
