Analog-to-Digital Broadcast Audio Conversion

The FOR-A USF-402AADC is a high-performance modular audio conversion card designed for installation within FOR-A USF series universal system frames. It converts 4 balanced analog audio input signals into a 2-channel (1 pair) AES/EBU digital audio output, allowing legacy analog audio sources, microphones, and mixing consoles to integrate directly into digital broadcast architectures.

Comprehensive Gain & Impedance Alignment

Engineered for ultimate flexibility across varied audio infrastructure, the USF-402AADC provides both coarse and fine gain matching. Operators can adjust input gain by ±6 dB directly using the front panel dial or fine-tune settings up to ±20 dB via the web browser management interface. The card supports selectable input impedance settings (600Ω or High-Z) and accommodates standard analog operational levels (-10, 0, +4, and +8 dBu) paired with adjustable digital headroom standards (-18 dBFS or -20 dBFS).

Frame Synchronization & Network Management

The module synchronizes its digital audio output directly to the master timing reference signal provided by the host USF frame. Built-in audio monitoring logic detects extended silence conditions (adjustable from 1 to 10 seconds) and triggers network alerts. Fully integrated into the USF ecosystem, the card supports remote configuration and SNMP v2c monitoring across 1RU (USF-105AS) and 2RU (USF-212BS) frame deployments.
