Reliable Modular SDI Redundancy
The FOR-A USF-80SDICS is a high-reliability SDI changeover switcher card designed for installation in FOR-A USF-105AS, USF-212AS, and USF-212BS modular mainframes. Built for master control rooms, playout automation lines, and OB vans, the module continuously monitors two SDI input feeds (Main and Backup) and seamlessly switches to the healthy source whenever a signal failure is detected.
Intelligent Freeze, Black & Audio Error Analysis
Beyond basic signal loss detection, the USF-80SDICS performs deep stream analysis. It active monitors for CRC errors, timing sync loss, video freeze frames, sustained black video, and audio muting. Operators can set the card to switch automatically, semi-automatically, or manually depending on operational preferences.
Integrated Delay Alignment & Frame Sync
To ensure seamless switching without image rolls or screen tears, the USF-80SDICS incorporates built-in frame synchronization and delay alignment tools. The card can automatically align timing differences between inputs by comparing video frames or tracking LTC/VITC timecode, with manual adjustment up to 21 frames. Passthrough relay bypass hardware guarantees signal continuity even if the mainframe loses power.
