The FOR-A USF-80SDICS is a high-performance SDI changeover switcher card designed for installation in FOR-A USF series universal system mainframes (USF-105AS, USF-212AS, and USF-212BS). Built specifically for mission-critical master control rooms, playout automation channels, live sports trucks, and satellite uplinks, the card continuously monitors dual SDI signal lines and automatically switches to the backup line whenever an active signal failure occurs.

Advanced Signal Monitoring & Timing Alignment

The USF-80SDICS features an intelligent error detection engine capable of spotting both transport-level faults (CRC errors, loss of sync) and content-level degradation (frozen video, black screen, muted audio). To ensure completely clean, glitch-free switching transitions, the module incorporates a frame synchronizer alongside automatic delay correction. It continuously analyzes incoming video frames or timecode (LTC/VITC) to align primary and secondary streams, compensating for timing variations of up to 21 frames.

Passive Bypass & Web-Based Management

Engineered for continuous 24/7 reliability, the USF-80SDICS includes a mechanical pass-through bypass relay that preserves the primary video feed even during total mainframe power failures. System operators and engineers can monitor real-time channel health, review fault logs, and select auto, semi-auto, or manual switching modes using an intuitive, web browser-based control interface.
