Product Overview +
Modular Broadcast Processing Infrastructure
The FOR-A USF Series Universal System Frames provide a scalable, high-density modular infrastructure designed for broadcast stations, mobile OB vans, master control suites, and post-production facilities. Engineered for maximum flexibility, the USF series allows engineers to combine video frame synchronizers, 12G/3G-SDI format converters, audio embedders/de-embedders, IP gateways, distribution amplifiers, and failover switchers into a single unified chassis.
Scalable Frame Options & Hot-Swappable Reliability
The USF series lineup features two primary mainframe sizes:
- USF-212BS (2RU): High-density 2U mainframe holding up to 12 processing modules with dual reference genlock inputs.
- USF-105AS (1RU): Compact 1U mainframe holding up to 5 processing modules with a single reference genlock input.
Both mainframes feature front-accessible, hot-swappable module bays and power supply units, allowing broadcast engineers to perform upgrades and maintenance without interrupting active signal processing pipelines.
Centralized Control & SNMP Network Administration
Equipped with an integrated Gigabit Ethernet hub, USF mainframes eliminate complex external control wiring by providing unified network connectivity across all installed modules. Operating staff can configure parameters, manage video routing, and monitor module health via intuitive web-based GUI interfaces. Comprehensive SNMP protocol support delivers real-time diagnostic reporting for frame power levels, cooling fan speeds, and card connection status across central facility monitoring networks.
