Product Overview +
High-Reliability Control System Type
The Marshall RS7-HR is a mission-critical serial control distribution system designed to stabilize and expand PTZ camera networks. In professional broadcast and house of worship environments, daisy-chaining cameras can lead to signal degradation and total system failure if one unit goes offline. The RS7-HR solves this by utilizing a "home-run" architecture, where each camera receives a dedicated, amplified signal directly from the hub. This ensures that a single cable fault doesn't disrupt the rest of your production.
Versatile Serial Connection Type
Equipped with a flexible RS-232 and RS-422 connection type, the RS7-HR adapts to the specific technical requirements of your venue. By flicking the rear-mounted protocol switch, technicians can alternate between the shorter-range RS-232 standard (up to 656') and the robust, long-haul RS-422 standard, which supports cable runs up to nearly 2,000 feet. This makes it an ideal solution for large-scale auditoriums, stadiums, and multi-room corporate campuses where cameras are positioned far from the control room.
Streamlined Rack Integration
Designed for the rigors of professional AV integration, the RS7-HR features a compact, durable build that occupies just 1 RU of rack space. The use of standard RJ45 ports for all inputs and outputs allows for the use of affordable, readily available Cat 5/6 cabling, significantly reducing installation costs compared to proprietary serial cables. Whether you are managing a judicial courtroom setup or a high-end live streaming studio, the RS7-HR provides the industrial-grade signal integrity required for precise, low-latency camera operation.
