Product Overview +
Overview
The Neumann Hapi Mk III is a premium modular network audio mainframe developed by Merging Technologies for professional broadcast, recording, live sound, post-production, and immersive audio environments. Its compact 1U design combines reference-grade audio quality with extensive Audio-over-IP connectivity, allowing users to build highly flexible systems using optional analog and digital I/O cards. Supporting both RAVENNA/AES67 and optional Dante networking, the Hapi Mk III serves as the foundation of the Merging ecosystem while integrating seamlessly with Neumann MT 48, Anubis, and AES67 studio monitors.
Performance / Features
Hapi Mk III features two modular expansion slots that support up to 16 channels of premium analog I/O or up to 128 channels of MADI, depending on the installed cards. Premium I/O cards provide microphone preamps with up to 78 dB of gain, dynamic range up to 136 dB(A) for microphone inputs and 139 dB(A) for line inputs, along with support for DXD, PCM up to 384 kHz, and DSD256.
The built-in network engine supports RAVENNA/AES67, NMOS, SMPTE ST 2110, ST 2022-7 redundancy, and optional Dante operation through Audinate licensing. Integrated routing allows up to 152 input channels, 154 output channels, and 64 network streams, making it suitable for complex production environments requiring exceptional audio quality and low latency.
Applications / Integration
The Hapi Mk III is ideal for television and radio broadcast facilities, OB vans, recording studios, mastering rooms, live production, theatrical installations, immersive audio environments, and professional audio networking systems. It works as a standalone audio interface, network audio router, or high-performance I/O expansion for Merging Anubis, Neumann MT 48, Pyramix, Ovation, and other AES67-compatible systems.
