Overview

The Neumann MT 48 is a premium reference-class USB-C audio interface designed for professional recording, music production, broadcast, podcasting, and post-production. Developed in collaboration with Merging Technologies, it combines world-class AD/DA conversion, ultra-low-noise microphone preamps, integrated DSP processing, touchscreen operation, and AES67 network audio to deliver uncompromising recording and monitoring performance. It serves as the ideal digital centerpiece for Neumann microphones, studio monitors, and headphones, preserving every detail throughout the entire signal chain.

Performance / Features

The MT 48 features premium AD converters with an exceptional 136 dB dynamic range, offering significantly higher resolution than conventional audio interfaces. Two ultra-low-noise microphone preamps provide up to 78 dB of gain, complemented by two additional line/instrument inputs, four monitor outputs, and two powerful ultra-low-impedance headphone amplifiers.

Integrated DSP processing enables zero-latency monitor mixes with four-band parametric EQ, gate, compressor, limiter, and high-quality reverb. The innovative Dual Output Technology allows simultaneous recording of both processed and unprocessed signals for maximum production flexibility.

A built-in high-resolution touchscreen provides direct control over routing, monitoring, mixer settings, and DSP without requiring software. The interface supports AES67/RAVENNA networking and is Dante Ready™, allowing users to install optional Dante firmware and licenses when required.
