Comprehensive IP Extraction and Intelligent Presets
The extraction core of the EG40F is highly resilient, offering complete cross-compatibility with standard H.265 (HEVC) and older H.264 (AVC) compressed IP network streams. It natively supports an extensive array of transport layer protocols, ensuring seamless connection to remote network paths over SRT (Caller and Listener configurations), encrypted RTMP/RTMPS, RTSP, and multi-cast or uni-cast MPEG-2 TS streams. While the hardware focuses its dedicated processing power to decode a single clean channel at any given moment, the internal memory system allows operators to log up to 200 distinct network streaming URLs as presets. This framework facilitates seamless source switching across a broad array of active cameras, encoders, or remote transceivers distributed across local or wide area networks.

On the physical hardware layer, the EG40F offers true dual-output functionality, feeding local baseband infrastructure concurrently through an independent 12G-SDI BNC terminal and a native HDMI 2.0 interface. The outputs feature a powerful integrated hardware cross-conversion scaling engine, allowing the decoder to independently upscale lower-resolution 720p or 1080i/p streams up to a polished 3840 x 2160p60 container, or downscale high-bandwidth 4K video lines down to match standard 3G/HD-SDI display loops. The 12G-SDI pipeline supports standard SMPTE 2082-1 broadcast formatting complete with integrated SMPTE352 SDI metadata passing. It features embedded stereo audio decoding across both digital interfaces (AAC-LC/MPEG-2 formats at 24-bit 48KHz resolution) and routes audio separately to a physical 3.5mm analog line-out connection. The device supports Gradual Decoding Refresh (GDR) safety checks, which auto-activate to correct incoming packet loss and prevent on-screen blocking distortions.
