Product Overview +
Lightweight Mobility for Japanese Camera Systems
The Canare OCC-7N series is a highly specialized, slim-profile hybrid fiber-optic (HFO) camera-to-CCU cable that serves as a high-performance audio cable and video cable combined into one. Engineered explicitly for live production environments using Japanese OC type interfaces and Hybrid-OPS frameworks, this pre-terminated assembly drops your infrastructure weight down by cutting the outer diameter to an agile 7.1mm. This significant weight reduction makes it the premier choice for Steadicam operators, handheld camera crews, and rapid-response outside broadcast (OB) setups.
Full Convergence of Audio, Video, and Control Signals
Despite its thin form factor, this cable consolidates your entire operational workflow into a single connection line. Its internal single-mode glass fibers deliver uncompressed HD/4K/8K camera video channels alongside zero-latency return viewfinder feeds. Concurrently, the insulated copper wiring pairs manage multi-channel studio intercom/talkback networks, program microphones, and remote camera shading telemetry. It also transmits auxiliary electrical current to power the camera head directly, removing heavy on-camera batteries from your rigging.
Space-Saving Cable Management for Production Teams
When rigging tight production environments like compact outside broadcast (OB) trucks or mobile field flypacks, storage space inside the cable trays is at a premium. The reduced physical volume of the OCC-7N allows engineering crews to store more backup lines in tighter compartments. To ensure fast setups under tight deadlines, each cable comes outfitted with clear heat-shrink labeling tubes and a 7-color connector ring kit, enabling crews to color-code and cross-reference lines across complex patches instantly.
Note: Due to the condensed size of its copper core matrix, the auxiliary power transmission distance of the OCC-7N series is approximately half that of standard-thickness (OCC-N) Japanese HFO camera cables.
