Stype RedSpy is a professional optical camera tracking platform built for broadcast, augmented reality, XR and virtual production. It combines infrared optical tracking with inertial sensing to deliver stable camera position and orientation data across demanding production environments.

Precision Optical Tracking

RedSpy is designed for accurate real-time tracking on cranes, pedestals, Steadicams and handheld camera rigs. Its hybrid sensor approach is intended to maintain reliable tracking even during dynamic camera movement.

Indoor and Outdoor Production

The system is designed for both controlled studios and outdoor production environments. Tracking data is transported over standard Ethernet using UDP, with optional wireless connectivity for mobile workflows.

Broadcast and Virtual Production Integration

RedSpy supports open tracking protocols including FreeD, Stype HF and EEVEC, allowing integration with major real-time graphics and virtual production platforms such as StypeLand, Unreal Engine, Vizrt, Pixotope and Zero Density.

Tracking Data for Post Production

Camera pose, timecode and lens data can be recorded for post-production and VFX workflows, helping productions reproduce tracked camera movement after the live shoot.
