Product Overview +
Industrial-Grade All-Weather Resiliency
The Bolin EXU420F 4K60 Outdoor PTZ Camera is a high-performance broadcast imaging system engineered to deliver professional-grade video production in demanding environmental conditions. Encased in a rugged, IP67-rated weatherproof housing, this heavy-duty tracking camera is completely protected against dust ingress, high-pressure water streams, and prolonged exposure to harsh elements. It features an integrated internal heater and automatic defroster system, guaranteeing a safe, reliable operating threshold from –40 °C to 60 °C. Built with heavy structural wind load durability that stabilizes operations at high velocities, the EXU420F is the ultimate solution for permanent or temporary installations across live sports stadiums, open-air concert venues, remote coastal weather decks, and mobile emergency broadcast rigs.
Ultra-High-Definition Optics and AI Tracking Intelligence
At the core of the EXU420F is the specialized Bolin BM4620 image module, which pairs a high-performance 1/2.8-inch Sony STARVIS IMX715 CMOS sensor with premium 8-megapixel optics. This combination produces native 3840x2160 video at 60 frames per second, ensuring smooth motion and pristine color rendering. Backed by an advanced AI-driven ISP processing engine, the sensor excels in extreme wide dynamic range (120dB WDR) spaces and low-light environments, maintaining clear, color-accurate imagery while actively dropping noise. The camera incorporates a versatile 20x optical zoom lens with an ultra-wide 78.59° horizontal field of view, utilizing AI face detection logic to automatically execute rapid, precise auto-focus and auto-exposure corrections during live events.
Unified Virtual Production and Sync Management
Designed to support immersive hybrid broadcasting, the EXU420F comes completely integrated with the industry-standard FreeD (Free Dimensional Video) tracking protocol. This hardware integration enables the camera to continuously output precise spatial tracking coordinates across all axes, allowing modern software layers to automate real-time multi-dimensional camera tracking for augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and extended reality (XR) graphic elements. To ensure seamless performance in complex, multi-camera live television arrays, the camera includes a dedicated physical Genlock sync input terminal. This allows engineers to establish frame-accurate synchronization across the entire system, eliminating visual phase slips or vertical switching jitter when cutting between field cameras.
High-Performance Hybrid Connectivity and Control
The rear terminal plate of the EXU420F is optimized for complex professional distribution networks, offering simultaneous true dual-output functionality. Local baseband feeds can be concurrently driven through dual 12G-SDI ports and an HDMI 2.0 interface, while a specialized SFP Optical SDI slot provides high-speed, long-distance fiber line transmission directly out of the chassis. Its onboard network streaming pipeline is governed by a dedicated FPGA hardware FAST HEVC codec, allowing the camera to package low-latency 4K60 IP streams—including RTSP, RTMP, RTMPS, SRT, and MPEG-TS—across existing 1G lines via a single PoE++ network interface drop. The camera integrates broadcast-ready XLR audio inputs through a secure, waterproof 10-pin LEMO connector, features an embedded on-screen character generator, supports standard network firmware updates, and is fully NDAA compliant. Precise mechanical telemetry is executed via an industry-leading 255 steps of VISCA-over-IP or local serial communication links.
