Product Overview +

Professional Automation for Your Favorite Glass

The PTR-10 MK II is the perfect bridge for studios that want the convenience of PTZ robotics while maintaining the shallow depth of field or specialized zoom of a traditional camera. Supporting cameras up to 8 lb, this head gives you the freedom to use Sony, Panasonic, Canon, or JVC camcorders in a remote-controlled environment. With the included 1/4"-20 mounting plate, swapping cameras is fast and secure, making it a versatile tool for rental houses and dynamic production environments.

Centralized Power and Control

One of the standout features of the MK II is its ability to act as a power hub. By utilizing the 12 VDC input, the head can distribute power to your camera via a D-Tap port. This eliminates the need for trailing cables or battery swaps mid-broadcast. Furthermore, the head can receive pan/tilt data over IP (DVIP) or serial (RS-422/232), while simultaneously sending zoom and focus commands to the camera through the dedicated remote port or LANC interface.

Broadcast-Ready Design and Mounting

Built from rugged aluminum, the PTR-10 MK II is designed for the rigors of live events and touring. It mounts easily to most standard tripod legs, but its true flexibility shows in permanent installations—with optional brackets, it can be securely mounted on walls or ceilings for high-angle shots. The integrated tally light ensures your team always knows which camera is live, providing the professional polish required for TV programs and house of worship broadcasts.

Intuitive Remote Management

Whether you prefer the tactile feel of a joystick on an RMC-300A or the simplicity of an IR remote, the PTR-10 MK II adapts to your workflow. It translates control signals into smooth, repeatable movements, allowing for 199 preset positions (depending on the controller used). This level of precision makes it an ideal solution for lecture capture or corporate presentations where a single operator needs to manage multiple camera angles effortlessly.
