Compact Single-Link 12G-SDI Routing Core

The FOR-A MFR-1000 is a compact, high-performance multiformat routing switcher engineered for 4K UHD and 8K workflows in production studios, OB trucks, and live event racks. Capable of configuring up to a 16x16 matrix, the MFR-1000 processes single-link 12G-SDI signals on every input and output—eliminating the need for four separate 3G-SDI crosspoints per 4K stream. Automatic signal detection ensures seamless operation across 12G, 6G, 3G, HD, SD-SDI, and DVB-ASI formats without requiring manual configuration.

Clean Switching & Flexible System Expansion

To prevent video glitches during live operations, the switcher supports an optional MFR-8AVDL12G card, adding Automatic Video Delay Line (AVDL) timing alignment to 8 outputs for clean, noise-free transitions. System capacity is customized via 8-channel input (MFR-8SDI12G) and output (MFR-8SDO12G) expansion cards. The unit integrates into existing broadcast infrastructures, supporting source name tracking and tally linkages with FOR-A HVS production switchers and multi-viewers, as well as TSL and Harris protocol devices.

Intuitive Management & Redundant Hardware Architecture

System administration is streamlined through an integrated web browser GUI, front-panel menu display, and SNMP network trap monitoring for tracking power, fan, CPU, and signal states. The MFR-1000 supports up to 9 different MFR-RU remote control panel models along with MFR-GPI and MFR-TALM interface expansion modules. For 24/7 mission-critical operations, the unit supports an optional MFR-10PS redundant power supply module to guard against power disruptions.
