Product Overview +
Portable 12G-SDI 4K Production Powerhouse
The FOR-A HVS-1200 is a compact 3U rackmount video switcher designed to deliver 12G-SDI 4K UHD performance in portable, space-constrained environments such as mobile production trucks and live event venues. Building on FOR-A's HANABI lineage, the switcher provides native 12G-SDI single-link handling standard, enabling smooth migration between high-definition setups and 4K production workflows. In 4K UHD mode, it provides 10 inputs and 10 outputs (including HDMI 2.0 outputs), while operating as a high-density 40-input, 2 M/E switcher in HD mode.
Advanced MELite™ and FLEXaKEY™ Compositing
Engineered with FOR-A’s patented MELite™ technology, the HVS-1200 expands standard AUX bus transitions to provide preview control over cuts, mixes, and wipes before going on-air. By pairing MELite with the system's reassignable FLEXaKEY™ keyers, operators can achieve 2 M/E performance in 4K UHD or up to 6 M/E performance in HD mode from a single chassis. In HD mode, users can combine up to eight keyers on a single M/E bus for multi-layered compositing, picture-in-picture layouts, or driving multi-screen stage video walls.
Versatile Processing, Audio & Web Control
The HVS-1200 features a complete suite of production tools, including 2.5D DVE wipes, color correctors per M/E, frame synchronizers, and onboard still/clip stores. It includes four balanced or unbalanced audio lines with automatic audio muting during video cuts to prevent noise. System setup and event macro execution can be managed remotely via an integrated web server using desktop or tablet devices, or through ergonomic hardware control surfaces.
