Product Overview +
Compact & Scalable Routing Core
The FOR-A MFR-16/32 Series features five compact multiformat routing switcher models engineered for small to medium-scale broadcast facilities, live event racks, and OB vans. Built on the core software architecture of FOR-A's flagship MFR-5000 series, these switchers deliver reliable matrix control in space-saving 1RU and 2RU rackmount enclosures. The series automatically detects and routes 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, SD-SDI, and ASI video formats, while offering dedicated AES digital audio models and quad-link 3G-SDI grouping for 4K workflows.
Model Lineup & Scalability
The MFR-16/32 family offers multiple chassis sizes and matrix configurations to match specific installation footprints. The 2RU range includes the flagship MFR-3232RPS (32x32) and MFR-3216RPS (32x16), both featuring optional CPU redundancy and hot-swappable dual AC power supply options. The 2RU MFR-1616R (16x16) provides a dual CPU and dual power supply pathway, while the ultra-compact 1RU MFR-1616 (16x16 SDI/ASI) and MFR-1616A (16x16 AES/EBU digital audio) offer streamlined single-rack-unit solutions for tight space requirements.
Advanced Crosspoint Logic & System Redundancy
The MFR-16/32 series offers rich operational crosspoint features, including button/storage Salvos, Take/Always Take modes, Level operations, Link grouping, Chop toggling, and Lock/Inhibit protections. Built-in web servers enable software-free browser setup, while standard Ethernet/serial interfaces link with up to 128 remote control units or third-party TSL/HARRIS systems. High-reliability models support optional MFR-SRCPU redundant CPU modules and MFR-SRPS dual power supplies for uninterrupted operation.
