Product Overview +
Flexible 128x128 Multiformat Infrastructure Core
The FOR-A MFR-5100EX is a versatile 8RU routing switcher designed to serve as the core signal management engine for broadcast facilities, production trucks, and AV integration setups. Housing up to 8 input cards and 8 output cards (16 channels per card), it scales up to a 128x128 matrix. The frame automatically detects and routes 3G-SDI (Level-A/B), HD-SDI, SD-SDI, and ASI video streams, while linking multiple MFR frames allows for further matrix expansion and full system redundancy.
Comprehensive Audio Routing & Multi-Viewer Integration
Equipped with advanced audio I/O cards, the MFR-5100EX functions as a unified video and audio matrix. It handles MADI (up to 64 channels), AES/EBU stereo pairs, and analog audio, complete with A/D and D/A conversion, MUX/DEMUX, and audio embedding/de-embedding capabilities. To optimize system resources, an optional built-in multi-viewer board delivers up to 4 display outputs directly from the frame without using any standard destination ports.
Advanced Crosspoint Logic & Mission-Critical Reliability
The MFR-5100EX supports sophisticated crosspoint controls, including button-assigned and main-unit Salvos, Take/Always Take operations, Link grouping, Level switching, and Chop modes. Virtual matrix partitioning allows a single chassis to handle 4K/8K, V/Key linked routing, or independent virtual routing tasks simultaneously. Built for uninterrupted 24/7 service, the frame features hot-swappable front-accessible modules along with options for CPU, power supply, and network redundancy.
