Native 12G-SDI Large-Scale Signal Routing

The FOR-A MFR-6100 is a high-capacity multiformat routing switcher engineered to meet the demanding requirements of 4K UHD live broadcast, OB trucks, and post-production workflows. Operating across a scalable matrix of up to 144 inputs and 144 outputs, the MFR-6100 accommodates up to 16 input cards and 16 output cards (9 channels per card). With native 12G-SDI and 6G-SDI support via specialized MFR-9SDI12GA and MFR-9SDO12GA expansion cards, it delivers uncompressed single-link 4K signal distribution alongside automatic signal type detection across legacy 3G/HD/SD-SDI and DVB-ASI formats.

Signal Monitoring and Enterprise Integration

Built to ensure signal integrity across complex 12G-SDI environments, the MFR-6100 features built-in jitter cleaning and automated SDI input signal error alerts (CRC/TRS) displayed via GUI and SNMP traps. The switcher seamlessly integrates with broad broadcast ecosystems, supporting standard TSL and HARRIS control protocols alongside FOR-A’s native interface for HVS production switchers and standalone multi-viewers. This enables automatic, bi-directional source name tracking and tally tally exchanges between routing crosspoints, production switchers, and monitoring displays.

Virtual Matrix Partitioning & Mission-Critical Redundancy

The MFR-6100 offers flexible matrix partitioning options, allowing a single chassis to act as multiple independent virtual routers. Configurations include coordinated 4K/8K crosspoint switching, simultaneous 4K/HD simulcast routing, and Video/Key linked switching. System configuration is managed via an intuitive, software-free web browser interface or front control panel. Designed for continuous 24/7 reliability, the frame supports optional redundant CPUs, redundant power supplies, and connection for up to 127 external remote control units or GPI/Tally interface expansion modules.
